There is also regular coach service. Zalaszentbalázs is a regional administrative center. Characteristics: The first written hint to Zalaszentbalázs dates from 1320, but the area has been inhabited since the early Middle Ages. It was destroyed by the Turks and was rebuilt by the late 17th century. The population has been declining since the 1960s. The number of unemployed is 20,15 of them skilled workers. The main source of income is agriculture. Zalaszentbalázs is one of the economically better developed villages of the county. The municipality plan to build a gas network and a sewerage, and to develop tourism.
